Why we built it
In an IT shop, the serial number is everything
A customer comes back eight months later with a hard disk that won’t start. Did you sell it? When? Is it still under warranty, and which distributor do you send it to? If the serial number was written on a paper bill, that answer can take half an hour to find.
Computer shops also do things normal shops don’t. You assemble PCs from ten different parts, you sell services along with products, and many of you run a repair counter on the side. Ordinary billing software doesn’t handle any of that well.
Milaan ERP tracks every serial from the day it comes in to the day it is sold. Scan it during purchase, scan it again at billing, and the warranty clock starts on its own. Assembled PCs are billed as one product but every part’s stock and serial is kept. Repairs get their own job sheet with status updates.

GST made simple
GST for products and services, on one bill
Most computer hardware and accessories fall under 18% GST, and so do installation and repair services. But products and services have different HSN and SAC codes, and many shops also sell to businesses that need a proper GSTIN invoice to claim input credit.
Milaan ERP keeps the right HSN or SAC code on every item and service. You can bill a laptop, an extended warranty and an installation charge together, with each line taxed and coded correctly. Monthly figures are ready for your CA.

Can I check warranty when a customer brings back a faulty part?
Yes. Search the serial number and you will see the bill, the date of sale, the warranty period and the supplier it came from. You know at once whether to repair, replace or send it back.
How do I bill an assembled PC?
Pick a saved build or choose the parts, scan their serials, and save. The customer gets a clean bill for one PC (or a part-wise bill if they prefer), and each part’s stock goes down on its own.
Does it support repair job sheets?
Yes. Record the device, the fault, accessories received and an estimate. Update the status as the job moves, add spare parts used, and bill it when the customer collects.
Can I send status updates to customers?
Yes. Job sheets and quotations can be shared on WhatsApp, so customers don’t need to call you to ask whether their laptop is ready.
Can I sell both retail and wholesale?
Yes. You can keep separate price lists for walk-in customers and dealers, give credit to business customers and track what each one owes you.
Does it work with my barcode scanner?
Yes. Any standard USB or wireless barcode scanner works for serial numbers and product barcodes.
