Every article comes in six or seven sizes, sometimes in two or three colours. The boxes are stacked to the ceiling, and the one the customer wants is always at the top or at the back. If you don’t know whether you have it, you lose time, and sometimes the sale.
On top of that, many shoe stores still keep stock in a register or in a billing app that doesn’t understand sizes. The count drifts a little every week until nobody trusts it.
Milaan ERP stores each article with its full size range, box by box. Every box gets a barcode label, so the bill is a scan and stock goes down on its own. Staff can check sizes on the screen before going to the shelf, and size exchanges are handled properly instead of on a slip of paper.
It is simple enough for any counter staff to learn in one session, and you can see sales from your phone even when you are away from the shop.
These are the issues we hear most from footwear shop owners.
Staff go looking for a size that was sold last week and come back with the wrong box or no box at all.
Search the article and see stock for every size and colour. Only go to the shelf when you know it’s there.
Article numbers and prices are written with a marker and read wrongly at the counter.
Print labels with article, size, colour and MRP straight from the purchase entry. Billing becomes a scan.
A customer comes back for a bigger size, and the exchange is noted on a slip that never reaches the stock register.
Scan the returned box and the new one. Both sizes are updated, and any price difference is settled on the spot.
Pairs above ₹2,500 attract a higher GST rate, and staff often apply the wrong one.
The software checks each pair’s price after discount and applies the right rate on its own.
The features shoe stores rely on most, all in one software.
Keep each article with its full size range, in UK, Euro or your own sizes.
Print labels for new stock as soon as the purchase bill is entered.
Scan the box and the bill is done. Take cash, UPI, card or a mix.
Handle size swaps without cancelling bills or losing track of stock.
Clear old stock with offers that apply correctly at the counter.
Know which articles and sizes sell, so your next order is smarter.
Here is how the software fits into a typical working day.
Look at yesterday’s sales and the sizes that are running out in your best-selling articles. Call the supplier before the weekend rush.
Enter the purchase bill article by article with sizes. Print barcode labels for every box and stack them on the shelf.
Staff check sizes on the screen before heading to the shelf, scan box labels at the counter and handle a size exchange in seconds.
See the day’s sales, collections and best sellers. Your stock is already updated, so there is nothing to write in a register.
Footwear is taxed by the price of each pair. Since the GST changes of September 2025, pairs sold at up to ₹2,500 attract 5% GST, and pairs above ₹2,500 attract 18%. A discount can move a pair from one slab to the other, which is where most mistakes happen.
Milaan ERP checks every pair on the bill, after discount, and uses the right rate automatically. Your bills are correct, and your monthly GST figures are ready to hand over to your CA.
Tip: The price limit is a setting, not hard-coded. If the rule changes, you update one number and every bill follows.
