Why we built it
Most ERPs are built for big companies. This one isn’t.
If you run a small or mid-sized factory, you have probably looked at ERP software and walked away. The big names need consultants, months of setup and a team just to run them. The cheap billing apps don’t understand manufacturing at all.
So most factories end up with a mix: billing software for invoices, Excel for production plans, a register in the store, and the owner’s memory for everything else. It works, until an order is late because a part ran out, or the year-end accounts show a profit that doesn’t match the bank.
Milaan ERP is a manufacturing ERP sized for Indian MSMEs. You set up a bill of materials (BOM) for each product, raise production orders, and the software tells you what raw material you need and what you are short of. When production finishes, raw material goes down, finished goods go up, and you see the real cost of what you made.
Billing, GST, purchase and accounts are in the same system, so nothing is typed twice. Most factories are up and running within a couple of weeks.

Morning planning 9:00 am
Open the list of production orders due this week. A quick material check shows one order is short of hinges, so a purchase order goes out before it becomes a problem.

Material issued 10:00 am
The store issues sheet metal and paint against today’s production orders. Raw material stock goes down, and work in progress goes up.

Production completed 4:30 pm
Thirty almirahs are finished and entered against the order. Finished goods stock goes up and the cost per unit is worked out.

Dispatch and billing 6:00 pm
A dealer’s order goes out with a GST invoice and e-way bill. Stock, the customer’s account and your sales report are all updated.
GST made simple
GST for manufacturers, built in
As a manufacturer, you pay GST on raw material and charge GST on finished goods. The difference is what you pay to the government, which means every purchase bill has to be entered correctly to claim your input tax credit. Dispatches above ₹50,000 need e-way bills, and if your turnover is above ₹5 crore, you also need e-invoices.
Milaan ERP records GST on every purchase and sale, so your input tax credit and output tax are always up to date. E-way bill and e-invoice details come straight from the invoice, and your monthly figures are ready for your CA.

Is Milaan ERP suitable for a small factory?
Yes. It is built for small and mid-sized manufacturers. You can start with BOMs, production orders and stock, and use more features as you grow.
What is a BOM and do I need one?
A bill of materials is the list of raw materials and quantities that go into one unit of your product. You set it up once per product, and the software uses it to plan material and work out cost.
Can it tell me what raw material I am short of?
Yes. When you raise a production order, the software compares what the BOM needs with what is in stock and shows the shortage, so you can order in time.
Does it work out the cost of each product?
Yes. Material used, labour and overheads are added up for each production order, giving you the cost per unit and the margin when you sell.
Does it include billing and accounts?
Yes. GST billing, purchase, customer and supplier accounts, and GST reports are all in the same system.
How long does setup take?
Most small factories are running within one to two weeks. Our team helps import your items and set up your first BOMs.
How much does it cost?
The offline desktop plan starts at ₹9,999 as a one-time payment and online cloud plans start at ₹12,999 per year, both before 18% GST. Features such as barcode billing, batch tracking, e-invoicing and multi-location are in the higher plans, so tell us what you need and we’ll suggest the right one.
Can you bring in our existing data?
Usually yes. If you have your items, raw materials, customers and opening stock in Excel or another software, our team will import them during setup. We also help you set up your first few BOMs.
