Why it matters

A normal day at the store, with Milaan ERP
Here is how the software fits into a typical day, from opening the shutter to closing the last counter.

Open the store 8:00 am
Check yesterday’s sales on your phone and look at the list of items expiring this week. Staff move those to the front or put them on offer before the morning crowd.

Supplier delivery 11:00 am
Enter the purchase bill by scanning the items. Batch and expiry go in once. Stock goes up across every counter and the supplier’s balance updates on its own.

Evening rush 6:30 pm
All counters open. Cashiers scan packets and scale labels, offers apply by themselves and bills print or go out on WhatsApp. You watch counter-wise sales live from the office or your phone.

GST made simple
Many GST rates on one bill, no confusion
A single grocery bill can have loose staples with no GST, packaged food at one rate, and items like soft drinks or cosmetics at a different rate. Doing this by hand is where most billing mistakes come from.
In Milaan ERP every item carries its own HSN code and GST rate. The bill works out the tax line by line, and your monthly figures are ready for your CA without anyone retyping invoices. When the government changes a rate, as it did in September 2025, you update the item and the new rate applies from the next bill.
Tip: During setup we load HSN codes for common grocery items, so you only need to check them, not type them.

Can I connect my electronic weighing scale to Milaan ERP?
Yes. Most supermarkets use a label-printing scale that prints a barcode with the weight or price built in. The cashier scans that sticker and the item, weight and amount come into the bill on their own. Our team will check your scale model during setup.
How many billing counters can I run?
As many as your store needs. Every counter works on the same stock, so a sale at counter 3 reduces stock for everyone straight away. Each cashier closes their own shift and you can see collection counter by counter.
Do I have to type in every product before I can start billing?
No. Common packaged grocery items come with their names and barcodes ready to use, and our team can import your existing item list from Excel. You only add prices and anything special to your store.
Can I run offers like Buy 2 Get 1 Free?
Yes. You can set up buy-X-get-Y offers, combo prices, flat or percentage discounts and bill-value offers, each with a start and end date. They apply on their own at the counter, so cashiers don’t need to remember them.
How does it handle different GST rates on grocery items?
Each item carries its own HSN code and GST rate, so loose staples, packaged food and items like cold drinks are all taxed correctly on the same bill. At month end you export GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B summaries for your CA.
Will billing stop if the internet goes down?
With the offline desktop plan, billing never depends on the internet. With the cloud plan, a basic mobile hotspot is enough to keep counters running, and many stores keep one as backup.
What hardware do I need?
A computer or POS terminal for each counter, a barcode scanner and a thermal receipt printer. A label-printing weighing scale and a cash drawer are useful but optional. If you already have these, they will most likely work with Milaan ERP.
How much does Milaan ERP supermarket software cost?
The offline desktop plan starts at ₹9,999 as a one-time payment and online cloud plans start at ₹12,999 per year, both before 18% GST. Barcode billing, the POS screen and multi-counter use are in the desktop Standard and cloud Business plans and above. Stores with several counters can ask us for a custom quote.
