Billing & GST
One GST setup for buying, making and selling
When you start manufacturing, GST gets one step longer: you claim input tax on raw materials and charge output tax on finished goods, which may have a different HSN code and rate. With two systems, it is easy to miss credit or charge the wrong rate.
Because the module uses the same items and accounts as your billing, input tax on raw material and output tax on finished goods sit in the same GST registers. Your returns stay as simple as they were when you only traded.
Tip: Give each finished product its own HSN code and rate. The rest of your GST setup stays the same.

No. Manufacturing works inside the same Milaan ERP, with the same items, customers, suppliers and accounts. Talk to our team about switching it on for your account.
Will it change how my counter staff bill?
No. Billing for traded goods stays exactly the same. Finished goods you make are billed just like any other item.
Can raw materials and traded goods share one stock?
Yes. Everything is in one item list and one stock. You can even sell a raw material directly if you trade in it too.
Does production cost show in my profit and loss?
Yes. Material, labour and overhead costs from production orders are posted to your accounts, so profit reflects what you really spent.
Can I start small?
Yes. Many businesses start with one or two products and a simple BOM, and add more as their manufacturing grows.
Is training included?

How much does it cost?

Can you bring in our existing data?
Usually yes. If you have your items, raw materials, customers and opening stock in Excel or another software, our team will import them during setup. We also help you set up your first few BOMs.
